Wyoming is known for its rich aboriginal folklore, beautiful nature, and stunning National Parks including Yellowstone and Grand Teton. The state’s population density is among the lowest in the nation. Wyoming is famous for bull riding, cowboy culture, and the home to several of the world’s most magnificent rangelands.

  • Wyoming is a state in the Mountain West subregion of the Western United States.
  • The official language of Wyoming is English, with 90% only speaking English, and less that 10% speaking another language (mostly German and Spanish). There are two remaining Native American languages currently spoken in Wyoming namely Shoshone and Arapaho.
  • Wyoming has the lowest population in all of the United States, with only 581,348 people even though the state is one of the largest by physical area.
  • The Wind River Indian Reservation is located in the heart of Wyoming and is shared by the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho peoples.

  • The largest hot spring in North America is the main attraction at the Hot Springs State Park, located in the town of Thermopolis.

Chicken fried steak is one of the dishes Wyoming is known for, and you can easily find it readily available at restaurants. It is made with beef steaks that are coated with flour and deep-fried. Although, some people prefer to pan-fry their steaks.

MOST POPULAR SPORTS IN WYOMING.

Rodeo is revealed as Wyoming’s favorite sport. Rodeo is very popular in the state, and for the number of reasons, it is officially considered the main sport of the state. For example, Casper, Wyoming has been hosting the College National Finals Rodeo since 2001.

WHAT IS COOL ABOUT WYOMING?

Thermal pools, also known as “Hot Pools” in Wyoming, are open year-round. These steamy hot springs attractions are especially fun in chilly weather, when swirling snowflakes make the warm waters even more enchanting. Many American Indian tribes believe the hot springs in Wyoming possessed healing powers.
