The Friendship Family program
The Friendship Family program is facilitated by Alliance Abroad Group (AAG), a designated program sponsor. This program connects International Participant on a J-1 Exchange Visitor program with Sandusky area families. Founded on the conviction that we should learn from each other, the program provides cultural experiences for community members and helps program participants experience Midwestern culture in American families. Our goal is to make Sandusky community a home away from home for program participants. We hope friendships that will develop between International Participants and their Friendship Families will promote diversity and cultural awareness that will last a lifetime.
The first step in joining this program is to fill out an application. Once you have filled out the application we will do our best to match you based on the preferences you’ve indicated in your application. At present, the Friendship Family program is only offered in Sandusky, Ohio. We are working on bringing this program to other locations!
